Cotton wicks are often made from pesticide-treated cotton and contain metals such as zinc. Our wooden wicks are made from sustainably harvested timber that is left natural and untreated. Wooden wicks produce less carbon, soot, and debris than cotton wicks. They heat wax more evenly, helping our candles last longer. As a bonus, wooden wicks create a soothing, nostalgic crackling sound when burned.
